Compassion Around an Everyday Reality

Victoria women’s sexual assault centre logo

Sexual assault and sexual abuse happen every day in every part of our community. The Women’s Sexual Assault Centre in Victoria provided services to over 2,000 people last year and 40% of recent sexual assault survivors accessing their services were between the ages of 13 and 19. In addition to a 24-hour crisis line, counseling services, hospital accompaniment, and support with the criminal justice system, they are proud to deliver prevention education to youth through a program called Project Respect.

Project Respect is a program based out of the Women’s Sexual Assault Centre that aims to prevent sexualized violence amongst youth ages 14-19.
